OUR LEADERS

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

Mark Aleman

Jail Ministry

My wife and I began attending a Calvary Chapel in Elk Grove, California back in 1992 and for 26 years we loved the adherence to and teaching of the Bible. When we moved to Waco, Calvary Chapel Waco was our first choice.

I've been saved since 1979 and I'm blessed to say that I am no longer that "old man" that I used to be. I am alive in Christ now. I was lost and now I am found.

I am blessed to be married to my wife, Kimberly for the past 35 years and have two beautiful daughters and four grandchildren all living in Texas. I love how God has given me a heart for jail ministry. He's made it so enjoyable for me because I talk to strangers all the time. It used to embarrass my youngest daughter but she's turned out to be just like me.

Men's Ministry

In California, we attended Calvary Chapel North Coast in Carlsbad and when we came to Texas, we found Calvary Chapel Waco, talked to the staff about Calvary and we've been here ever since.

I was raised Catholic and although I was taught about Jesus and His love for us, I didn't really have a relationship with Him. In 1992 that's when the Holy Spirit started a move in my life and in 1993, that's when I attended Calvary Chapel North Coast and it was like coming home because three weeks later, I gave my life to Christ.

My wife, Chrissy, and I have been married for 26 years and have children from our previous marriages. They're all grown and have children of their own now. I love to be outdoors, whether it's doing yard work or going for a walk/hike for a workout.

Mike & Diana Driskell

Epic Youth Leaders

We heard the service over Facebook live, visited and haven't left so we've been here since 2019. Thank you Jesus.

M: I was a drug dealer and user for at least 30 years. The good Lord blessed me with a daughter and set a fear in me so I turned my life all the way around for His glory.

D: Molested, abused physically and emotionally, drug addict from 17-somewhere in my 40's, alcoholic but then got saved by the grace of God in 2012.

We're a blended family so we're a pretty big bunch. 5 kids, 19 grand babies, 1 great and 2 puppies.

M: My wife says I'm still stuck in my terrible two's.

D: I sing and dance! (no I don't)

Annette Florio

Church Administrator

My mother had invited and kept praying for me to come to church. Finally in 2005, my family and I came and we've been here ever since.

Realizing that my life style was not what the Lord wanted for me, I knew I was living wrong. My marriage problems also made me recognize that I needed the Lord more than ever. The Lord saved my marriage and I am forever grateful.

I like to think I assist in keeping things flowing throughout the church. I am an introvert and working at Calvary has helped me get to know others. I would like to think I am creative and artsy since I enjoy doing things with my hands. I also enjoy selling Mary Kay.
